How Wizard Wipes work.

As a research scientist I have been involved in the development of printing inks and surface coatings. For the last five years, I have been researching micronisation and the nano surface morphology of plastics.

While to the eye plastic surface may appear smooth and glossy on a microscopic scale these surfaces are generally pitted due to the molecular structure and manufacturing processes of these plastics. While craters are minute (30-50 nonometers deep) they still deflect and scatter any light source that contacts this surface.

The Wizards Wipe solution contains chemicals that are drawn into and fill these craters creating a much smoother surface that minimizes any light deflection, which with the laser light of a CD player results in a clearer sound. Conventional CD cleaning solutions remove dust and grease but still leave the surface craters on the CD.

The Wizard Wipe solution also contains silicon compounds that protect the CD surface from scratching.
